Endurance test stands

The characteristics of modern imx endurance test stands ensure that electric motors can be tested under realistic conditions and statements can be made about the reliability, efficiency and service life of the test specimen.

For each imx endurance test bench, we utilize the technologies and experience that we have gained in the construction of our development test benches. For example, imx test types can be used to periodically determine the changes in motor parameters and thus visualize the ageing process of a test specimen.

High service life

imx test bench solutions for continuous load applications are usually designed to customer specifications. Particular attention is paid to high continuous operation capability. Not only do we use electrical and mechanical components specially designed for long-term operation, but the use of low-maintenance or maintenance-free components is also an important guiding principle for us.

Flexibility & scalability

Flexibility is a top priority. Scalability, expandability and adaptability to different e-motor types enable imx test bench solutions to test different motor sizes and outputs. The ability to expand the test bench for future tests or to integrate new test methods is a major advantage.

Exact test management

In most cases, long-term tests are carried out with the aim of simulating the actual load profiles of the test specimen in its application. Precise load and temperature control opens up these possibilities. Not only are the temperatures of the test specimen measured, but our test benches are also able to simulate realistic temperature cycles and ambient conditions. For example, climatic chambers can be integrated into the test environment.

Remote monitoring and access

Long-term test benches usually operate “unmanned”. Remote monitoring and remote access to the test bench allows its condition to be checked at any time.

If required, changes can also be made to the test bench configuration, such as the adjustment of limit values. Other customer-specific functions can be integrated on request.

Software for endurance test stands

Every test of an electric motor is the coordinated interaction of various hardware components such as measurement data acquisition, control of the motors, automation of the test sequences and evaluation of the results.

The test bench hardware is supported by the imx OMEGA software and the imx OMEGA Test Plan and imx OMEGA GraphiPEd components.

In conjunction with the hardware of an imx electric motor test bench, software components are designed to free the user from any form of manual intervention in a test sequence.

As a result, long-term tests run fully automatically and autonomously. The test procedure only alerts the user in the event of an error or when a test has been completed. All that remains is to evaluate the test results.

At imx endurance test benches, we take great care to ensure that our solutions also meet the specific requirements of quality assurance and developers in terms of efficiency.

Our test bench solutions are characterized by specially adapted constructions, parallel test lines, special load and performance specifications, environmental simulations and adapted data acquisition and evaluation algorithms.
