Test benches for electric motors are our passion. Our engineers and technicians in the areas of development, project management and production can look back on many years of experience in test bench construction.
In the last 30 years, imx Solutions has successfully delivered more than 350 test benches to customers.
What do I need to know to test an electric motor?
imx test benches are operated with the imx OMEGA software. With our test types, motor tests and their evaluation run fully automatically. All you have to do is select the test object and enter the test parameters in the tables provided.
Without programming, without having to worry about measurement or control algorithms, simply start and after a short time measured values, results and reports are available.
Which motor characteristics can be determined with imx test benches?
With the help of the test types integrated in imx OMEGA, it is possible to obtain information about an electric motor based on its mechanical and electrical parameters. Practically all of the characteristics of a test object can be described.
With our imx Parameter Identification (imx PI) for DC motors and modern synchronous motors, this is even possible without load.
What is the life expectancy of a test stand?
The oldest test benches we know of that are still in use are over 20 years old. It is not possible to give an exact answer to this question, as the life of a test stand depends very much on the load and use it is put to.
Even highly stressed end-of-line test benches are designed to last more than 15 years.
What warranty does imx Solutions provide on a test stand?
Customers of imx Solutions GmbH receive a 2 year manufacturer's warranty on every new test stand.
Can imx test benches be expanded?
imx test benches are modular. It is usually possible to expand the hardware and software components at a later date.
How often do imx test benches need to be calibrated?
In the broadest sense, electric motor test benches are measuring systems. The intervals for test bench calibrations therefore often result from the requirements of our customers' internal measurement equipment management.
imx also recommends a calibration interval of 12 months.
How are the measurement components of a test stand calibrated?
Our standard test benches are typically calibrated on-site at the customer's facility. This means that the test bench does not have to be disassembled into its measurement components.
Values such as torque, current, and voltage are calibrated throughout the entire measurement chain, from the sensor to the measurement system.
