Demand-oriented testing

The demand for 100% quality assurance in electric motor production is increasing, as is the requirement to fully test electric motors in ever shorter test times. This is where state-of-the-art imx production test benches and highly efficient test procedures come into play.

By using imx test benches for quality assurance in conjunction with our automated test sequences for identifying test specimen parameters, users obtain the necessary findings for the qualitative assessment of an electric motor.

Data storage & visualization

The results of the quality assessment of an electric motor or motor component are usually stored in a database and transferred to the production line in the form of pass/fail statements.

Screen displays or “traffic lights” visualize the test result for employees and outsiders. After a successful motor test, serial numbers are often assigned or, in the event of a fault, motors are automatically sent to the production line for inspection by means of optical or control signals.

Load-free test imx PI

The load-free imx Parameter Identification (PI) test procedure has earned special attention in the qualitative assessment of electric motors. Specially optimized for end-of-line tests and in-line applications, it offers a very high test depth at maximum test speeds.

In addition, the imx Parameter Identification (PI) minimizes the hardware costs required for quality tests. Due to these advantages, imx PI is being used more and more frequently for quality testing of modern e-motors.

Automated or manually operated

Every quality test of an electric motor requires the interaction of various hardware components such as measurement data acquisition, motor control, automation of the test sequences and evaluation of the results. Added to this is the communication and interplay with the components of the production line.

To this end, the imx OMEGA test bench software, together with the imx OMEGA Test Plan component and the imx OMEGA End-of-Line tool, supports all necessary manual and automated test processes.
